Reblog: Quit Complaining and Fight

“The kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force” (Matthew 11:12).

I suppose I finally became fed up? All I was ever hearing were complaints; my own, and that of my friends. It was infuriating, and I became exasperated! Married men older than I were acting like children. “Oh, I wish I was dead!” is what they would say to me. Younger singles, also with a defeatist attitude, spoke similarly. Why are we so dramatic? Why are we so disillusioned? Why are we so defeated? I thought God has made us “more than conquers in Christ” (Romans 8:37), and “given us ‘everything’ pertaining to life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3); why then all the constant complaining about sin?
